Hi!! My name is Sophia and I’m 14 years old. I’m a big fan of the arts, but my favorite thing to do is definitely sketching. Working with ceramics for a full 9 weeks was no easy task for me since I’m not too great with technique, but I made it through with some interesting pieces to show for it. I love finding new music to listen to and learning new languages. Currently, I’m learning ASL and Hawaiian. My favorite technique is probably pinch pot forming because of the way you can watch the piece come together just from some center presses. The thing that I find the most inspiration from is self love, which is what inspired the candle holder I have below. When I think of relaxing, candles are always part of the scene. Having dim lighting and warm scents always make me feel cozy and calm, so the candle holder will definitely be used once it’s fired!!
